The corporate portfolio of the banking sector increased by 1.8% after a moderate increase of 0.6% in February: high demand for loans by companies may be associated with large tax payments.

Mortgage rates, according to preliminary data, accelerated to 1.2% after 0.8% in February. The growth was mainly in issuances with state support, while the most popular program remained “Family Mortgage”. Consumer lending is estimated to have increased faster at 2.0% (0.9% in January-February) amid consumer activity and rising incomes.

There is still an active influx of household funds into banks (1.9% after 2.5% in February). The growth was mainly in ruble term deposits, the popularity of which is supported by high interest rates. The volume of corporate funds fell by 1.6% after growing in February (1.0%) due to large tax payments.

The sector's profit in March remained virtually unchanged compared to February and amounted to 270 billion rubles (return on capital 22% in annual terms) after 275 billion rubles in February.

More detailed information is presented in the information and analytical material “On the development of the banking sector of the Russian Federation in March 2024”.

Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting of the supervisory board of the ANO “National Priorities”, at which the results of the organization’s work in 2023 and tasks for the near future were discussed

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko chaired a meeting of the supervisory board of the ANO National Priorities, at which the results of the organization’s work in 2023 and tasks for the near future were discussed. As President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly noted, the main task of national projects is to ensure that Russians feel real changes for the better, regardless of where they live – in megacities, small towns or villages. It is extremely important to continue to popularize support measures and the possibilities of national projects, as well as to receive feedback from people on how effectively these measures work,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

In 2023, a large-scale project was launched to collect and monitor feedback on the quality and organization of work of facilities created in the regions of Russia under national projects. Today, April 19, 2024, applications for participation in the anniversary competition of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation “Best Multifunctional Center in Russia” began. The event has been held annually since 2014 by order of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The competition has three nominations: “Best MFC project”, “Best regional MFC network” and “Best universal MFC specialist”. To evaluate applications, a competition commission has been created, headed by the Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexey Khersontsev. The commission included representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation, federal authorities and the expert community.

In the “Best MFC Project” nomination, both innovative initiatives and already proven solutions that improve the quality of service to the public in the “My Documents” offices will be considered. The jury will evaluate projects based on criteria such as relevance, efficiency, social significance, and the possibility of implementation in other regions.

When choosing the winner in the nomination “Best regional network of MFCs”, the accessibility of offices, the use of digital technologies in the operation of a network of public services, for example, video communications for consulting the population, the organization of the work of user support sectors, and on-site services for citizens living in hard-to-reach areas will be taken into account.

The laureates of the nomination “Best Universal Specialist of the MFC” will be assessed on the level of professional skills, the presence of the necessary skills and knowledge, as well as participation in mentoring.

Applications will be accepted until May 6; the winners will be announced in October at the All-Russian MFC Forum.

“We are holding a competition to support the work of multifunctional public service centers and to reward employees for their great contribution to improving the quality of life of our citizens. In addition, the competition helps us identify those initiatives or ready-made solutions that will improve the quality of service in the My Documents offices. Over the entire history of the event, we have received 1.3 thousand applications from different parts of the country, the total number of laureates is more than 200. I am sure that this year the interest in the competition will remain high. We expect new regions to participate in it, where, with the support of the Government, the development of a network of public services continues in accordance with all-Russian standards,” said State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexey Khersontsev.

The path to an all-Russian civic identity was discussed at the Scientific Library

MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: State University of Management – Official website of the State University –

On April 18, 2024, in the Scientific Library of the State University of Management, as part of the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the university, a round table “Unity in diversity: the path to all-Russian civic identity” was held.

The moderator of the discussion was the director of the Center for Strengthening Interethnic Friendship and Citizenship of the State University of Education, chairman of the All-Russian public movement “All-Russian Interethnic Youth Union” Kantemir Khurtaev. Advisor to Archpriest Dimitry Roshchin, head of the Department for Work of the Russian Orthodox Church with Public Organizations, expert of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation Alexey Vaits and member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian public organization “Federal National-Cultural Autonomy” were presented as experts. “Ukrainians of Russia” Bogdan Bezpalko.

The meeting was opened by Kantemir Khurtaev, who explained that such events are held by the State University International Friendship Club so that activists understand trends in the field of interethnic relations and know all possible risks and threats. This is especially important today, when a hybrid war is being waged against Russia and ill-wishers are trying to hit the pain points of interethnic relations and thus prevent the speedy achievement of the goals of a special military operation, and ultimately lead to the collapse of the state. Migrants are often used for provocations and illegal actions. The most recent example is the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which, in addition to direct tragic consequences, led to the incitement of migrant phobia. At the same time, Kantemir Ishakovich admitted that problems in mutual understanding and interaction between the Russian government and migrants really exist. These problems need to be solved, since unity cannot be formed without eliminating contradictions.

Bogdan Bezpalko began by saying that the meeting was attended by future managers who would have to deal with laws and human relations at the same time. The speaker pointed out the difference between a nation and a nationality. Nationality is an ethnicity, and a nation is a community. Within a community, a group of people with their own identity, language, and culture may form, which over time will want to form a separate state – this is normal. However, with Ukraine it was the other way around – first the state separated, and then they began to impose identity, language and culture on the people inhabiting its territory. “You, as future managers, will need to study religious studies and the historical memory of peoples in order to avoid myth-making, distortions of history and better understand your own people,” the expert said.

Alexey Vayts quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin that Russia is built around a strong core of Orthodoxy, around which national and religious diversity flourishes. We are trying to preserve the identity of all 193 nationalities of our country, while the West is moving along the path of erasing all kinds of differences: national, cultural and even gender. Alexey Evgenievich noted that in the West the main cultural regulator is shame, external pressure. And in Russia there is conscience, internal freedom. In Ukraine there is now a conflict between these views on life and approaches to existence. Russia is vulnerable in its multinationality, but at the same time, the central core of our culture is love and sacrifice, and they are not easy to defeat.

Then it was time for questions from the audience and free discussion.

A presentation of projects by 2nd-4th year students of the State University of Management took place at Mosstat.

The guys presented to the leadership of the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service for Moscow and the Moscow Region four projects aimed at popularizing statistics and developing the organization’s brand.

“Over the last six months, we have been working closely with students of the State University of Management: choosing topics, discussing ideas to make Mosstat better, more modern and more interesting. I am glad that cooperation with the University is actively developing, and I hope to maintain relations and increase common educational projects,” said the head of Mosstat, Leonid Kalimullin, welcoming the participants of the event.

“I am very pleased to watch our students take their first professional steps. SUM is an officially recognized university that uses a practice-oriented approach. This is an integral part of our educational process. That is why it is important for us to cooperate with Mosstat, an organization where children are given interesting practical tasks,” said Evgeniy Titov, Deputy Head of the Department of Acceleration Programs and Project-Based Training at the State University of Education.

Employees of the Department took an active part in the discussion of projects. The project to analyze the international experience of statistical organizations raised many questions. Colleagues became interested in the experience of other countries in conducting online surveys and filling official websites with statistical information.

The interior design of the Mosstat building left no one indifferent. A team of students presented their views on the design of common areas: staircases, halls and corridors to the statisticians.

Following the results of the presentation, the participants were presented with letters of commendation from the head of the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service for Moscow and the Moscow Region.

“I congratulate the university students on the successful defense of their projects. I will be glad to see you and other GUM students at Mosstat for internships, practice and in the future at work,” Leonid Kalimullin summed up the event.
